Job Description


The Service Technician serves as the lead on job sites and handles the troubleshooting of physical and electronic security equipment at financial, commercial or residential customer sites within a service area of PA, NJ, VT, MA, DE, MD and NY.


 Responsible for the accurate troubleshooting of physical and electronic security solutions/equipment as specified in work orders
 Train the customer on appropriate use of equipment
 Perform signal verification, system testing and troubleshooting following company protocols
 Assures completion of necessary paperwork including but not limited to: work orders and time sheets and credit card logs
 Responsible for the safe transportation to and from worksites
 Provides courteous and professional service to the customers
 Accountable for following manufacturer’s service manuals
 Adhere to state and local building codes
 Ensures worksite is well organized during service and clean up after completion of the job
 Ensures vehicle is neat and tidy and is stocked with necessary materials to perform jobs
 Contacts customer with the estimated time of arrival
 Performs any other related duties as assigned


Education and Experience:

 Valid driver’s license
 High School Diploma or equivalent
 Minimum of 5 years experience installing/troubleshooting low voltage electro-mechanical and physical security equipment

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 Basic understanding of network connectivity
 Ability to work independently with little supervision
 Must possess strong organizational skills
 Exceptional customer service skills are needed
 Must possess excellent communication skills for interaction with customers and co-workers
 Must function in a team environment, demonstrating the ability to receive direction from and provide assistance to other team members
 Must be detailed oriented and demonstrate strong problem solving/troubleshooting skills
 Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional presence and represent the company in a dependable and professional manner
 Intermediate PC skills using Microsoft Office tools and the ability to navigate through hand held device applications
 Knowledge of and ability to utilize all basic hand tools pertaining to the construction industry in general and associated safety procedures
 Ability to perform the physical demands of the position and acceptance of exposure to the work environment
 Shift adaptability, including nights/weekend/overnight stays and on-call work on a rotational basis
