Job Description
Responsible for operating, adjusting, testing, and maintaining printing equipment. Maintains quality check log and completes production report on a daily basis. Communicates quality, material, and production issues to supervisor by performing the following duties.

Reads job specs and procures all applicable tooling
Sets up machine to accommodate for job orders and specs in the production run
Conducts ongoing visual inspection of machine for leaks, loose belts, etc., according to checklist
Performs clearance procedure for shift change over
Conducts machine adjustments as needed to meet customer specifications
Completes set up profile sheets for new jobs
Performs checks for compliance to customer specifications and quality standards
Identifies and promptly reports to supervisors equipment malfunction, material, safety, and/or quality issues
Completes forms, documents, and quality measurements per production run
Performs line clearance procedures in the event of a product change
Complies with company personnel and safety policies and Good Manufacturing Practices
Performs special projects and assignments as directed by supervisory personnel
Observes operation of machine and verifies conformance of machined work-piece to specifications
Diagnosis and repair of minor mechanical failures
Other duties as assigned

Ideal candidate will have one year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Must have strong analytic, mathematical, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills
Must be practical, with good decision making skills
Must be detail-oriented
Must be able to work independently and set priorities to meet firm reporting deadlines

Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing Environment
Previous Tube Manufacturing experience
Language Skills
Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Write simple correspondence
Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Mathematical Skills
Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry

These positions are 12-hr shifts running 7a-7p or 7p-7a. Employees work 3-4 days per week with 8 hours of overtime built into the schedule and alternating weekends.
